Founded in 1972, DSC provides educational, professional, residential and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. If you are seeking a rewarding and fulfilling job, we are currently hiring for the position of Community Employment Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As the Community Employment Manager at DSC, you will be responsible for the administration, coordination and supervision of staff, activities, and services within the Community Employment Program. Each day, you will carry out a variety of rewarding work where you will play an integral role in the success of the company and our mission to support people to live a rich and meaningful life.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Special Education or related Human Services field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with outreach and relationship building with the business community.
  • Expertise in providing support and supervision for employees, working with professionals, and parents or family members of people served.
  • Ability to identify systematic instruction strategies for teaching job skills. Ability to formulate and implement both long-range and short-range program goals.
  • Proficiency in writing and basic computer skills relative to all records, reports and communications necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Sufficient physical stamina and mobility for lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required.

HOURS:

  • 40 hours a week
