Health Advocate - $400 hiring bonus + $400 quarterly retention bonuses
DSC provides educational, professional, residential, employment and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• As a Health Advocate at DSC, you will be responsible for providing appropriate and timely planning of all routine medical, dental and psychiatric appointments for people living in the DSC CILA program. You will also provide advocacy, support, care and transportation to appointments and other diagnostic services as needed. Additionally, the Health Advocate provides documentation of clinical appointments and communicates pertinent information to team members. Each day, you will play an integral role in the success of the company and our mission to support people to live a rich and meaningful life.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Sufficient physical stamina and mobility for lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Experience supporting people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to complete agency required training.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to provide daily transport for people to appointments.
• Ability to drive an agency van.

• Grant-funded hiring/new employee bonus of $400 (payable upon completion of training), and retention bonuses up to 4 times per year through June 2026 - up to $1,600 per year!
