Founded in 1972, DSC provides educational, professional, residential and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. If you are seeking a rewarding and fulfilling job, we are currently hiring for the position of Director of Case Management/Individual & Family Support Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As the Director of Case Management/Individual & Family Support Services at DSC, you will be responsible for the administration, coordination, supervision and evaluation of all staff, activities and services within the Case Management/Family Support Services programs. You will also, oversee interview, hiring and supervising Case Management and Individual & Family Support Services staff. Additionally, you will cooperate with the appropriate staff personnel in coordinating case management services, development of individual service plans, establishing and meeting participation schedules and maintaining quality services.
  • Responsibilities will include program development, staff development, administrative record keeping, staff training, budgeting and purchasing. This position will develop policies and plans which allow for the smooth operation of Case Management/Family Support Services and meet the goals set by the agency on behalf of people enrolled in the program. Community relations and cooperation with other service organizations are also a part of this assignment.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social service, health care or related field with significant related work experience in a supervisory/administrative capacity.
  • Knowledge of community resources and specific disciplines developed through extended direct contact.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate a wide variety of professional and paraprofessional disciplines.
  • Knowledge of laws, requirements and technical data relative to funding and licensing agencies.
  • Excellent written communication and grant writing skills.
  • Ability to design and implement programs of evaluation, training and individual service plans for people.
