Residential Direct Support Professional (CILA DSP) / HIRING NOW!

No experience necessary, and we offer extensive PAID training for DSP’s who help fulfill our mission and support the individuals we serve. CNA’s are encouraged to apply!

This position is integral to providing residential support services to people in the Champaign County area. In this role, you will provide guidance and supervision, conduct individual and group training programs, general household maintenance and routines, and complete data and records according to individual program plans and Group Home procedures.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU:

  • Grant-funded hiring/new employee bonus of $400 (payable upon completion of training), and retention bonuses up to 4 times per year through June of 2026 – up to $1,600 per year!

  • All benefits start day 1 of employment
  • $16.50 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour starting midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. There are also ample overtime opportunities available that could increase the hourly rate to $23.25-$26.25.
  • 21 days of paid time off (PTO), 10 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday and 6 days of paid reserve sick leave per year

  • Variable evenings, overnights, weekdays and weekend shifts available. Full-time generally Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday, flexible options. Weekday’s 2nd and 3rd shifts and Weekends 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts

 

DUTIES:

  • Assist with life’s essential activities to start and end the day
  • Help individuals manage daily living skills like preparing meals, laundry, dishes and vacuuming
  • Go for a walk together, enjoy playing games or connecting in the community. Go fishing, to a local farmer’s market, a movie!
  • Develop a supportive and empowering environment
  • Assure the residential environment is clean and free from safety hazards

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass fingerprint-based background check
  • Patience, compassion, communication skills, teamwork, dependability, integrity
