DSC provides educational, professional, residential, employment and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. If you are seeking a rewarding and fulfilling job, we are currently hiring for the position of RN Coordinator.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The RN Coordinator is responsible for the administration and coordination of activities and services within the Residential/Nursing Program. The RN Coordinator will assist the Director of Residential Services with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Nursing Program. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Current unrestricted Illinois Registered Professional Nursing license. 

Eligible to complete RN Trainer requirements within one year from date of hire. 

Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation. 

Ability to structure schedules according to priority needs. Demonstrate good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to guide professional and para-professional staff to improved performance through personal work ethic. 

Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and maintain appropriate records. 

Have sufficient physical stamina and mobility for lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling.  Ability to lift 50 pounds.  Ability to stand/walk for up to 2 hours at a time.  Ability to perform CPR. 


HOURS: 

Typically, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week  

WHAT WE OFFER YOU: 

Grant-funded hiring/new employee bonus of $400 (payable upon completion of training), and retention bonuses up to 4 times per year through June 2026 - up to $1,600 per year!
