Founded in 1972, DSC provides educational, professional, residential and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. If you are seeking a rewarding and fulfilling job, we are currently hiring for the position of Supported Employment Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Supported Employment Supervisor at DSC, you will provide training and support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities working in a supported employment site. In this role, you will be responsible for the scheduling of workers and oversight of the work crew. You will also act as a liaison with the business management team. Each day, you will be engaged in rewarding work where you will play an integral role in the success of the company and our mission to support people in living a rich and meaningful life.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in special education, employment of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, job coaching or other related field
- Ability to teach employment skills through systematic instruction
- Above average communication and organizational skills
- The ability to work effectively with team members and employers is essential
- Sufficient physical stamina and mobility for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
HOURS:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
