Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Bi-Annual Retention Bonuses!

DSC provides educational, professional, residential, employment and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. If you are seeking a rewarding and fulfilling job, we are currently hiring for the position of Speech Language Pathologist.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for DSC, you will be joining a full-spectrum team of dedicated early childhood providers and therapists including home visiting staff. The SLP will be responsible for providing one on one services to children at-risk or have been identified as having delays in speech and feeding. The SLP will also assist in screening and identifying children for referral to the early intervention system and early childhood programs. Opportunities to supervise student interns and practicum students may also be available.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association and one-year related work experience
• Current Illinois License to practice as a Speech/Language Pathologist
• Participate/complete continuing education to satisfy certification requirements
• EI credentialed or qualified to complete credential upon hire
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff in a transdisciplinary team approach. Experience in working with professionals and other personnel, including parents
• Good written and verbal communication. Knowledge of speech and language services available in the community

WHAT WE OFFER YOU:
• Grant-funded retention bonuses - up to 2 payments for a maximum of $1,200 per fiscal year! (depending on when in the grant year you were hired)
• The compensation range for this position is $64,480 - $74,880 annually. The compensation offered will be dependent upon several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, licensures, certifications, etc.
