DSC provides educational, professional, residential, employment and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Developmental Therapist at DSC, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide wrap around support to children with or at risk for developmental delays. The Developmental Therapist will obtain state Early Intervention credentialing and work with the EI system. Additionally, you may assist/lead play groups, parent education programs and other Family Development functions.                                                                                                                        
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Child Development or related field
  • State of Illinois Early Intervention credential or willingness to complete credential
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers within a strengths-based, family-centered perspective
  • Knowledge of community resources and services
  • Reliable transportation with adequate insurance
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaking preferred

HOURS:

  • 40 hours a week
